Phillipson Street Clinic is a well-established medical clinic having served the Wangaratta community with quality healthcare for over 60 years. Our socially minded philosophy is reflected by our Covid-19 Vaccination clinic which has vaccinated over 5000 people and our strong relationships with all the local nursing homes. The success of the vaccination clinic has led to the profile of our practice increasing and the need to further grow our medical team. We are looking for doctors both registrars and fully qualified GPs to join our team. We also have a Gap year student program in which we are keen to employ individuals with an interest working in the health industry in the future.

We are proud of our reputation as an inclusive family clinic which has provided quality health care to generations. We offer a comprehensive style of family medicine that ranges from antenatal shared care to residential aged care and palliative care of our own patients.

We enjoy a wonderful, warm cooperative workplace where our staff practice very much as a team. We have systems in place to support professional learning of our GPs and valuing our regular clinical education meetings, as much as the daily informal catch ups and debriefs with colleagues that are very much a part of working at Phillipson Street Surgery.

We have very strong relationships with other Medical Clinics, Aged Care Facilities, North-East Health and Wangaratta Private Hospital. We are an accredited training practice with the MCCC, with 2 out of our 4 GPs qualified supervisors. Our current GP team hold FRACGP qualifications.

Due to demand, we are expanding the clinic and are starting building work soon to ensure our building meets the clinical needs of post-Covid medicine and provides a dedicated space to education.
